Impatica for PowerPoint v410 for Windows^TM and the PowerPoint^TM 2007 SmartArt Add-In

In order to use the PowerPoint 2007 SmartArt Add-In, you must also upgrade to Impatica for PowerPoint Beta version 4.1.0.

The Impatica for PowerPoint for Windows SmartArt Add-in is for Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 only. When installed, the add-in is accessible from the "Add-Ins" ribbon in PowerPoint 2007.

The add-in converts all of the SmartArt objects (including tables and charts) in your PowerPoint 2007 file to images. It then creates a temporary version of your PowerPoint file that it will use for conversion into the Impatica format. This temporary file is deleted at the end of the conversion process. You continue to make future edits to the original PowerPoint 2007 file.

Known Limitations

There are no known limitations for the Impatica for PowerPoint v4.1.0 software.

Hyperlinks within a SmartArt object will not be retained currently because the SmartArt add-in converted the SmartArt objects to images.

Where hyperlinks are used within a SmartArt object, we suggest that you add the hyperlink to a text box on top of the SmartArt object (not grouped) so that the hyperlink will be accessible from the text box which will still be converted as a text box. Alternatively, you could use an empty auto shape with the hyperlink added to the auto shape object. This will cause the auto shape to act as a hotspot on the slide but the underlined text will still be visible to the viewer because the auto shape will be invisible. The invisible auto shape will be on top of the SmartArt but will hold the hyperlink.
